We met Laura a little while ago, as our reactive adolescent dog, Rex, takes a while to warm to people and build trust. Laura came over to meet him first so we could explain his needs, routines, and behaviour, which immediately gave us confidence in her approach.
Rex had his first walk yesterday and, as expected, needed a little time to settle before heading out. Laura completely understood this, took the time to sit with him, and let him come around at his own pace without any pressure.
We were kept updated during the walk and afterwards received a lovely little report on how it went, which was such a nice touch. Rex doesn’t trust people easily, so the fact he has taken to Laura so quickly says everything.
